Dr Celia Baker
Celia graduated from the Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Adelaide University. She enjoys helping people feel better about their smile and feel comfortable in the dental chair. Her focus is primarily conservative and preventative dentistry for adults and children of all ages. She has experience in all areas of dentistry and has been a member of the Australian Society of Endodontics for 4 years and is now a member of the Australian Prosthodontic Society. She is actively keeping up to date with continued education while maintaining a balance with family life.
Dr Kuljeet Vaid
Kuljeet is a graduate of the University of Sydney and has moved to Adelaide in 2017. He has a keen interest in total patient care as well as keeping treatments as conservative as possible and minimally invasive. His gentle demeanour and performing treatment at a pace that is comfortable for the patient, puts the patient at ease offering a relaxed dental visit. He has a keen interest in fixed prosthodontics, aesthetic dentistry and he continues to train and improve his skills through a number of courses and lectures offered worldwide, believing dentistry is an evolving mix of science and art. Kuljeet is from Canada and has been living in Australia for a number of years. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys cooking, travelling and spending time with his young family.
Dr Trilok Vallury
Trilok is the new principal dentist at Preventive Dentistry. He has been practicing dentistry for over 14 years and is experienced with all aspects of general dentistry. Trilok also has a keen interest in aesthetic and implant dentistry, and is a provider for Invisalign. He has a Postgraduate Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the University of Sydney and is responsible for the placement of implants at Preventive Dentistry.
Highly experienced in the latest dental technologies, Trilok has driven Preventive Dentistry to become one of the most advanced set-ups of modern dentistry.
Trilok believes in discussing the pros and cons of all treatment options with patients, helping them to find dental solutions that best meet their needs and preferences.
Dr Mark Earl
BDS (Adelaide) MSc (London) FRACDS, Dip Clinical Hypnosis, Grad Dip Dental Sleep Medicine (Adelaide)
Graduated Bachelor Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide 42 years ago, Master of Science in Dentistry from the University of London, Fellow Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, formerly tutor and research fellow at the University of Adelaide, Member of the International Academy of Dental Traumatology, Fellow International Academy of Oro-Facial Reconstruction, consulting dentist Adelaide Football Club (Adelaide Crows) for 25 years, publications in international journals in dental materials science, research in collaboration with specialists in sleep medicine.
Dr Harpreet Narula
Dr Harpreet joined Preventive Dentistry in 2018. She has a special interest and expertise in periodontology, treating conditions related to gums. Dr Harpreet strives to help her patients cope with anxiety associated with a dental visit through a friendly and gentle approach.
Professional background: Australian Dental Council Examinations,2015, Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) Periodontology and oral implantology-Govt. Dental College, Patiala, Punjab, India, 2008 and Bachelor of Dental Surgery(BDS), Govt. Dental College, Patiala, Punjab, India, 2004.
Dr William Gong
Dr William Gong graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2017. Since graduation, he has been working in multiple private practices before joining Preventive Dentistry and has been loving every moment of it.
Dr William strongly believes in providing comfortable dental experiences and providing high quality of care and treatment. We understand at Preventive Dentistry that dental experiences can be nerve-racking. Our team will provide the utmost of care for you to make your experience at comfortable as we possibly can.
Dr William loves all aspects of general dentistry with special interests in restorative dentistry, oral surgery, and use of the latest technology including CAD/CAM.
Outside of work, William enjoys travelling and spending time with his family and friends.
Dr Ram Ponnudurai
Dr Ram, originally from Canada, came to Australia in 2009 to study Dentistry. He completed his training at Griffith University in Queensland, and upon graduating, began practicing in different surgeries on the Gold Coast. After working for a few years, his desire to explore more of Australia grew - which brought him to beautiful South Australia. During his study, a strong emphasis was placed on prevention of dental diseases and these values are expressed when he practices, leaving patients educated and satisfied. Outside of work you may find him riding his bike, hiking or playing basketball.
Dr Ameya Joshi
Originally from India, Ameya graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2011. During his training, he developed a special interest in root canals which led to him completing his Masters of Dental Surgery in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics in 2015. While root canals can be a very daunting procedure, Ameya’s exceptional chairside manner and gentle touch turns this into a relaxing experience – leaving patients satisfied. Outside of the practice he enjoys playing cricket and eating pizza.
Dr Ai-Ling Hu Sharma
A 3rd generation dentist, Ai Ling completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2008. She then acquired her Australian Dental Council certification and has a keen interest in all aspects of general dentistry. She is an advocate of preventive and minimally invasive dentistry and believes gentleness and empathy are key aspects of dental treatment.
Ai ling enjoys connecting with local communities. In her free time, you'll find her hiking down the aisles at local shops or up the trails in the hills.
Dr Viral Kachiwala
Dr Viral Kachiwala is a dentist with a special interest in Orthodontics.
He completed his graduation and post graduation in Orthodontics in India. He then completed his M. Orth from Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh(UK). He was consequently awarded Fellowship from the Royal College Of Surgeons of Edinburgh(UK).
He provides Orthodontic treatment for Adults and Children with conventional Braces, Invisible Braces and Aligners (Invisalign)
In addition to Orthodontics, he provides general dental treatments for all ages.
Oral Health Therapist & Hygienists
Deanne Price Burgess
Deanne is an Oral Health Therapist and also a qualified Hygienist. She graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Oral Health as well as an Advanced Diploma in Oral Hygiene from TAFE SA. Deanne has been part of our team for over five years having built a strong rapport with many of the children and their families. Her passion is focused on providing an enjoyable, relaxed experience for parents & children in the dental setting. Deanne is a mother of four children as well as a mini sausage dog and is well versed in the care of others.
After graduating with a Diploma of Dental Hygiene from TAFE SA, Ruth worked for a specialist Periodontist where she gained extensive experience and consolidated her skills in the prevention of gum disease. Having joined our team in 2015 and with her friendly approach & attention to detail, she has become a valued member of the team. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband & daughter, walking her dog and socialising with friends.
Deb is a dual qualified Dental Therapist and Dental Hygienist. Her early career was as a Dental Therapist, mostly on the lower Eyre Peninsula. After the birth of her 2 daughters, Deb converted to Dental Hygiene in 1995. She was one of the first hygienists to work in Port Lincoln and moved to Adelaide in ‘99. After the Dental Act changed in 2001, Deb was in the first group registered to work in private practice as a therapist and hygienist, the equivalent to the current Batchelor of Oral Health. Around this time, Deb joined Dr Mark Earl’s practice and has now worked with Mark for 20 years. Also, after gaining dual qualifications, Deb joined the clinical tutoring team at Adelaide University and spent 12 years being a clinical tutor for The Batchelor of Oral Health. Deb also spent a few years tutoring clinical introduction to first-year Dentists. Deb now works part-time at Preventive and still works closely with Dr Mark. In her spare time, Deb enjoys cycling and travel with her partner, Julian.
Michael is an oral therapist and hygienist who graduated from the University of Adelaide and has experience working with children and adults of all ages in both rural and metropolitan regions. He has done volunteer and charity work abroad in South East Asia, visiting villages and starting up sustainable oral hygiene education and practice.
Michael has a deep interest in providing the utmost patient centred care. He aims to make his patients feel understood and comfortable during their visits, striking interesting conversations and will always find a way to make procedures understandable. Michael has a keen interest in teeth whitening and would love to chat with you with all the options available.
When Michael is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys art and playing music and looking for the next best place to eat.
Nurse & Reception
